It's Time to Write Your Book

You've been thinking about your book. Maybe for years. You have ideas, maybe even pages. What you don't have is a clear path and someone who can walk it with you.

That's exactly what this is.

I Help Female Writers Turn Their Ideas into Books

You don’t need more motivation. You need someone who’s walked the path. I’ve written and published four fantasy novels, a bestselling nonfiction book, and was a screenwriter in Los Angeles with an agent and manager. Through that journey, I’ve learned what it really takes to bring an idea out of your head, turn it into a story, and share it with the world.

And I'll support you to bring your dream book to life.

Write Your Damn Book (Cohort)

You've got a book in you. You just need to get it out of your head and onto the page, clearly, confidently, and in a way that actually sounds like you.

Write Your Damn Book is a small group (cohort) experience that guides you through planning your book. Each week answers a key question and solves an issue holding you back. When you finish, you'll be raring to get writing!

Your Leader: Kate is the author of five published books with a sixth on the way. She has spent her career helping women find and use their voice. Now she's helping you find yours on the page.

The Investment: $1200 for four weeks of live sessions, weekly exercises, and WhatsApp support between calls. Cohort limited to ten women.

Over four weeks, here's what we do:

Week 1: Nail Your Idea

We take that swirling concept in your head and turn it into something sharp, specific, and expressible. You'll be able to say what your book is in one sentence without second-guessing yourself.

You'll leave with: Your Book Idea Statement, a clear written articulation of your idea in one sentence, one paragraph, and one page. This is the foundation everything else gets built on.

Week 2: Know Your Market

You'll find out exactly where your book belongs, who it's for, and what makes it different. Whether you're going traditional or indie, you'll have the foundation of your positioning, your pitch, and your reader.

You'll leave with: Your Market Map, a clear picture of comparable books, target reader, and publishing direction. Essential if you're writing a proposal or publishing it yourself.

Week 3: Find Your Voice

This is where you figure out how your book sounds, your tone, your pacing, your style. Not what you think it should sound like. What actually sounds like you.

You'll leave with: Your Voice and Style Guide, a completed template covering the key questions about how your book reads and feels. You'll return to this every time you write.

Week 4: Build Your Blueprint

We map the arc of your book, how it builds, and what it's moving toward. You don't need to know the ending. You just need a strong sense of what you want to say and in what order.

You'll leave with: Your Book Arc, a scaffold of your chapters from opening to close. Enough structure to write with confidence, enough flexibility to let the book breathe.

1:1

One-to-One Book Coaching

Your book's been in your head long enough. Let's get it on the page.

You're stuck. Or stalled. Maybe circling the same questions without answers. It happens to all of us, at every stage, and it doesn't mean your book isn't worth writing.

It means you need the right person in your corner.

I've written six books, multiple screenplays, and years of articles, so I understand the creative process. I know what it feels like to be lost in the middle, blocked at the start, or overwhelmed by questions no one around you can answer.

Every session is built entirely for you, where you are and what your book needs right now. You will leave unstuck, clear, and knowing exactly what to do next.

Single Session — $500

One focused hour for when you are frustrated, overwhelmed, or drowning in questions you can't answer alone. We dig in, work through it together, and you leave with clarity and a concrete next step.

Three Sessions — $1,400

Three hours for when you are ready to move but need help finding the direction. Every hour is built around what you need most and where you want to end up. We will dig into your idea, work through the blocks, and build a clear direction together.

Six Sessions — $2,500

Six hours for when you are ready to go all in. Whether you are at the beginning or buried in the middle, we build the foundation your book needs, session by session, until you feel ready. This is sustained, dedicated support from someone who has done this several times and knows the way.

About Your Book Coach

KateinGlasses_edited_edited.jpg

Hey there, I'm Kate. I'm an author, book coach, speaker, and the creator of the Joyful Creating methodology. I've published five books, including the #1 bestselling Joyful Creating in Canada, the US, and the UK, and I have a career in film and journalism that taught me story from the inside.

I've covered the Toronto International Film Festival, written for Elle Canada and ScreenTalk, and interviewed Keanu Reeves, Kevin Bacon, Colin Firth, and Tilda Swinton along the way.

I know what it takes to finish something. I also know what it feels like to have a creative dream you keep pushing to someday. I lived that story and wrote my way out of it, not through hustle and pressure, but by building a completely different relationship with my own creativity.

I'm a member of the Writers Guild of Canada, a speaker at conferences including Sirens, and a seminar leader for creative women. I've spent years in the company of serious writers and storytellers. That experience, enthusiasm, and kind firmness are exactly what I bring to every woman I coach. More about Kate >
